Let us trust God and obey
On bended knee, lifted hands, let us pray
For knowledge of His will, for the grace to climb each hill
Let us trust God and obey

LITTLE THINGS YOU DO
words & music by Beth Williams

I’m gonna be a famous boxer, little Bobby said to his teacher
I’m gonna fight in a ring, be like a king on TV
They’ll put my picture in the paper, wearing a shiny medal
I’ll be somebody special, just you wait & see

The teacher said “Lil’ things you do…will bring peace of mind to you…. the lil things you do”

Now Bobby’s all grown up, working at a homeless shelter
He spends most his time, giving his time away
Bobby doesn’t realize now he’s a boxer
In the ring, fighting poverty everyday

Lil’ things you do…will bring peace of mind to you..the lil’ things you do

Becky said when I grow up..I’m gonna be a singer
I’ll make people smile, while I play guitar
I’ll be rich & I’ll be famous, people will know my name
I’ll have everything I want, someday I’m gonna be a star

The teacher said “Lil’ things you do..will bring peace of mind to you..the lil’ things you do”

Now Becky’s thirty five, she works at a retirement center
after she hands out juice, she pulls out her guitar
With the old folks clapping their hands & singing with her
Becky doesn’t know, she’s shining like a star

Lil’ things you do..will bring peace of mind to you..the lil’ things you do

BRIDGE
Becky & Bobby have a little girl, she turned seven yesterday
At her birthday party they overheard “I’ll be a famous actress someday”…

I heard somebody say…”Lil’ things you do will bring peace of mind to you..the lil things you do

Now (Don’t Look Back)
words & music by Beth Williams

try & flow like a river….soar like a high flying bird
don’t be afraid – stand up and deliver
a new song no one has ever heard
love like you know Jesus…catch someone before they fall
say your prayers every morning
and say your prayers anytime at all

and don’t look back …be happy where you’re at now now …
don’t look back…. be happy where you’re at now….be happy now now

water your garden….tend to it every day
forgive and pardon …those who sin against you on your way
follow your passion …..then dance into the universe
brush your teeth, comb your hair …take a bath, clean the house….
remember – first things first yea

and don’t look back…be happy where you’re at now now
don’t look back…be happy where you’re at now….be happy now nownow.. now.. now.. yea yea

don’t take things personal….no more wasting time ,stick to the plan
face your fear and when your fear says you can’t
shout “yes I can…oh yes I can”
stay humble…
remember there but for the grace of God                                                                                            tell the truth, do your best, assume nothing,
play ball with your dog…i said play ball with your dog

My God and I
words & music by Beth Williams

she said “you’re a novice in your Christian walk,
you’re not qualified….you won’t do”
and i thought “excuse me but you don’t know me
who i am where i’ve been or what i’ve come through”

won’t you come to my house for dinner?
let me bake you homemade bread and sweet ham
it was long ago i was a drunk and a sinner
let me show you how much better i am
my house is clean and there’s a warm fire burnin’
the 2 cats are fed and my chores are all done
every bill is paid and i’m not in any trouble
look and see how far i have come

i look life in the eye…get up if i fall stand tall
and look life in the eye….my God and i

there was a time my mind couldn’t see straight
all of those years i can’t undo what’s done
but i’ve been forgiven i been a livin’
a good life up each day with the Son

i look life in the eye…get up if i fall stand tall
and look life in the eye…my God and i

life’s too short to live like a beggar
i don’t need your approval i do as i please
but let me say right now for the record
we’re doin’ fine thank you my God & me

so won’t you come to my house for dinner
let me bake you homemade bread and sweet ham
it was long ago i was a drunk and a sinner
let me show you how much better i am

Ruby and John
words & music by Beth Williams

Ruby sits on the edge of the bed,
wearing old brown shoes & a scarf on her head
had her suitcase packed for nigh on 18 years
in her favorite cotton dress, she wants to look her best
when she steps back from this black veil of tears

Ruby’s ready to fly over the rainbow…Ruby’s ready to fly peacefully
over the rainbow, cross the river into the arms of john
standing knee-deep in water, wading patiently

seems like only yesterday ..she gave her young heart away
to the farm boy she met out on hornbeck pond
always said she knew right then walkin’ down the road with him
she would someday marry that boy john

Ruby’s ready to fly over the rainbow…Ruby’s ready to fly peacefully
over the rainbow, cross the river into the arms of john
standing knee-deep in water , wading patiently

through forty nine sweet years they saw love shine
soon it will be John & Ruby for all time

an old Bible on the edge of the bed, tattered & torn from being read
night after night alone there in her room
through an open window a cold wind blows …
a train whistle comes and goes
and leaves just the smell of ruby’s sweet perfume

Rubys ready to fly over the rainbow…Rubys ready to fly peacefully
over the rainbow, cross the river into the arms of john
standing knee deep in water, wading patiently
he’s standing knee deep in water wading patiently
he’s standing knee deep in water waiting patiently

I SIT & RIDE
words & music by Beth Williams

I have a dream, where I’m riding on a fast train all night
looking out the window at the bright lights passing by
Sometimes I’m alone, and sometimes there’s someone beside me
Maybe a spirit there to guide me, I don’t know

CHORUS
I just sit & ride.. all night  I just sit & ride.. all night… I just sit & ride

And on that train, there is no final destination
no fear or hesitation within my heart
The wheels go round & round, with a fiery determination
past houses, hills & shadows in the dark

CHORUS
I just sit & ride.. all night  I just sit & ride.. all night… I just sit & ride

BRIDGE
Sometimes I wake up & find I’m bound to this bed
I wonder what I’m doing here,
I’d rather be back on that train instead
be back on that train instead

CHORUS
I just sit & ride.. all night  I just sit & ride.. all night… I just sit & ride

SEND THE RAIN – A Prayer
words & music by Beth Williams

The crops are in the field Lord, under your Son
In the stillness I have labored, to get my work done

Oooooh….Send the rain….ooooh…Send the rain

I pull my hat down to shade my eyes, I watch & wait
for the burning air to disappear, and the sky to break

Oooooh….Send the rain….ooooh…Send the rain

Bridge

Oh this drought makes me weary, time leaves me less wise
Oh this drought makes me weary, look down you’ll still see my eyes

Though the night falls, no relief at all, my hope remains
In the shadow of the hand that holds cool, cool rain

Oooooh….Send the rain….ooooh…Send the rai

Voices
words & music by Beth Williams

you say you’re not good enough, feelin’ old tired and all that stuff
you don’t think you’ll try your wings cause you’d surely fail
full of fear and self doubt,it overflows and comes out
sayin’ you’re homely you’re unworthy and your skins too pale

stop listening to voices, stop listening to voices inside your head
stop listening to voices, stop listening to voices, stop i said

you think you’ll stay inside today, the world’s mad at you anyway
cause you never do anything right …that’s what you say
so on a lonely ship you sailyou and your thoughts in a deep dark well
must be someway out of there and if i know, do tell…yea

stop listening to voices, stop listening to voices inside your head
stop listening to voices, stop listening to voices, stop i said

and the little girl standing in the corner
hides her face and hangs her head in shame
no one ever thought to warn her…
she would carry carry the memory
of hands and voices unrestrained

my advice if you care, ignore the chatter from upstairs
those childhood voices take you nowhere
but on the tour despair
lift your head hold it high, roll up your sleeves look at the sky
give it all you got go on now, fly….fly

stop listening to voices, stop listening to voices inside your head
stop listening to voices, stop listening to voices, stop i said

you say i’m not good enough, i’m old tired and all that stuff

o-d-i
words & music by Beth Williams

o d i d a o d o… o d oughta let worry go
o d i d a o d o. ..o d oughta let worry go

you take life too seriously…everything is such a big deal
maybe if you listen to me ….we can lighten up the way you feel
ain’t no reason to wear that frown …
you can feel better if you open your soul
and your mind to a timeless sound

o d i d a o d o – o d oughta let worry go
o d i d a o d o – o d oughta let worry go

lookin’ on the dark side keeps you from seeing the glass half full
there is no other shoe,no need to push push pull
it’s time to relax release ,return to an upward climb
give yourself to the notion letting go is an ocean,
drink up and you’ll be fine.

o d i d a o d o – o d oughta let worry go
o d i d a o d o – o d oughta let worry go
let go let go let go let go let go let go

HE KISSED HER PICTURE
words & music by Beth Williams

Ronnie is fifty, or maybe he’s five depends on who you’re talking to
Lives in a home on the outskirts of town
where dreamers believe dreams come true
He strums his guitar so sweetly, and though the strings were not in tune
He was playing for the love of his life….the girl who hung the moon

CHORUS
Then he kissed her picture…said “my mother – I miss her”
Then he kissed her picture….said “someday I be with her”
Soft as angels whisper…he kissed her picture

Ronnie has good friends he’s made through the years
In that special home on the hill
As children they play at being grown up all day
though they never hide how they feel
At night come the quiet shadows down the hall looking in each room
And there by his bed in a frame – the girl who hung the moon chorus

CHORUS
Then he kissed her picture… said “my mother – I miss her”
Then he kissed her picture…. said “someday I be with her”
Soft as angels whisper… he kissed her picture

Ronnie is fifty, or maybe he’s five ….he might be a hundred & two
A vision of wisdom, the face of a fool  depends on who you’re talking to

He believes love is forever & nothings gonna change his mind (change his mind)
he thinks the girl in the frame isn’t gone…..he’s just a step behind

Yodelin’ in Heaven

words & music by Beth Williams

Oh what a day! What a day it will be when I see my mother again. I know she’ll be waiting right there for me when the Lord says “Beth, Come on it!”

There will be huggin’ in heaven, huggin’ in heaven, huggin’ in heaven, I am sure. There will be huggin’ in heaven, huggin’ in heaven, huggin’ in heaven, I am sure.

Oh what a day when there’s no fear of tomorrow, all tears & sorrow washed away. They’ll be no more sadness, only joy & gladness when the Lord takes us home one happy day.

There will be clapping in heaven, clapping in heaven, clapping in heaven, I am sure There will be clapping in heaven, clapping in heaven, clapping in heaven, I am sure

Oh what a day! What a day it will be when I see my dear Saviors face. I know he’ll be waiting right there for me …I have been saved by His amazing grace

We will be happy in heaven, happy in heaven, happy in heaven, I am sure      We will be happy in heaven, happy in heaven, happy in heaven, I am sure

Behold in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we shall all be changed.  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord…sing praises to his Holy Name.

There will be yodelin’ in heaven, yodelin’ in heaven, yodelin’ in heaven, I am sure. There will be yodelin’ in heaven, yodelin’ in heaven, yodelin’ in heaven, I am sure.

A Lo u , A Lay ee, I Love the Lord, Love the Lord, Love the Lord, A Lo u , A Lay ee, I Love the Lord, I’m Yodeling for my King       then lots more Yodeling…..!!!
