John & Frances Williams... Together Forever...MORE

In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.

WOW WOMEN'S RETREAT:

All I can say about the retreat is WOW!!  Just got in from singing for the Women of the Word Retreat (pictures to follow soon!) at Camp Buckner. I currently have a chocolate hangover and Holy Spirit refreshing high all at the same time. These women really love the Lord.  They also love chocolate...and cookies, cake, trail mix, candy, chocolate...did I say they love chocolate??  The thing is... I don't think any of us normally eat like that, so we figure it's alright to spurge for 2 days.

This was my 4th year to be invited as the Worship Leader and each year I love it more.  There were 95 women attending and each one I met was special with a story to tell.  I really made an effort to listen more to what these women had to say.  So many are having "trouble" of some kind, and yet, here we all were, leaning on and into the everlasting arms of Jesus together.

BY THE WAY:

I can't figure out how so many people have time to "blog" everyday and write on their Facebook so much.  It's all I can do to find time to write a quick note now and then.

Time to go...have to get caught up at work now! Thanks for stopping by!

PRAISE & WORSHIP CD

I recently received an Email from Linda in Austin wondering about the new CD....um...the one I was talking about several years ago.  She said:

Hi Beth!
I hope you are doing well.  I dropped by your website today....still interested in getting one of your praise CD'S.  Looks like it's not out yet.  Those things take time, I know....."

Yes, Linda....these things sometimes do take time!! And I'm still wondering where the time goes. Yikes! Have been planning and wanting to do a praise CD for several years now, but as God's word says " I know the plans I have for you...".  His plans have been very different from what I thought I'd be doing....but I'm blessed and learning surrender as I go along my way.

I have someone coming to look at my little studio this week to help me find ways to get the sound I want.  Please say a prayer that the Holy Spirit will guide our every move as we try to get things fixed up the way they should be and as I look into which equipment to buy.  As soon as we get the sound right, my plan/hope is to begin working on the worship/praise CD again.  Thanks so much for staying in touch and keeping the songs in mind.

KNAF/KFAN RADIO

BTW...here's a picture with a few of my vocal students after they sang live on KNAF/KFAN radio at the New Horizons Benefit in Fredericksburg!! Clairissa Orta, Faith Ingracia, Haylee Burton and McKenna Johnson.  They all did a great job!

BGM RECORDS

Was truly blessed ( and surprized!) to see my old friend Debbie Green that same day.  Debbie and her husband, Bill, are the reason I had a nomination by the Academy of Country Music many many years ago.  She's an awesome promoter and really is a doll.  If you're looking for someone to help you get your music heard, you should give her a shout. And if you're looking for a great studio to do some recording, Bill has a terrific one in San Antonio.

Here's a little about Debbie:

DEBBIE GREEN PROMOTIONS is Credited with hundreds of chart singles in BILLBOARD, R&R, Americana, and most recently the Texas Music Charts.  Over 300 singles have reached the Top 40 position in these charts, with numerous singles reaching the Top 10 and many climbing to the Number 1 Spot.

Since the formation of the Texas Music Chart and Texas Regional Radio Report, Debbie's focus has been on the Radio Stations that report the these charts.

HUGS BIBLE REFLECTIONS

I was invited to write a short story about my experience as my dad's caregiver and the story has been included in the “Hugs Bible Reflections for Women” book, written by Mindy Ferguson.  It's been released and is in bookstores now!  Here's a little about the book:

"Hugs Bible Reflections for Women is a collection of fifty-two inspiring and true stories with scripture readings and personal reflection questions following each story. The original stories come from women from all walks of life who share their heart in this two-color book that is more than a collection of stories and more than a daily devotional; it is a tool to encourage, refresh, and build the faith of Christian women everywhere."

Mindy did a wonderful job with all of the stories.  Be sure to get a copy, and get one to give as a gift too!!

Sept. 12, 2009

"I wish someone would make up my mind for me"... I heard a lady say at the HEB in Fredericksburg the other day.  Having just come out of the dentist chair, I mumbled in agreement.  We were between the chicken and frozen meat aisle.

It looks like it's been about 7 months since I updated this site.  In fact, I had pulled it offline (again).  Or so I thought.  A very nice lady called me yesterday with an inquiry about singing for a woman's group.  Said she found me after looking at my site.  So, here's my theory.  Once you're on the internet...you're there forever!!  You can pull your site down, or take yourself off Facebook...but you're still there.  Kinda scary, isn't it?

So I decided I'd better check back in.

Will write more later and explain why I've been "offline".  Right now I'm headed over to Fredericksburg to help out with the New Horizons Radiothon.  Dawn from KFAN Radio was so kind as to ask me to come sing again this year.  She was also SO kind as to say yes when I asked if I could bring some of my vocal students so they could sing live on the radio too.  Will try to take a few pictures and post them

God is so faithful and has such a wonderful plan for each of our lives.  The B I B L E...Yes, that's the book for me.

And it's raining in the Texas hill country.  What a wonderful sound
