Cedaredge, CO – In a small Colorado town, award winning Texas singer songwriter Beth Williams with her engaging smile and delightfully easy going personality works at her craft in an intimate, one room ProTools recording studio, Hill Country Recording plus Video. Gifted from childhood with an extraordinary voice and a natural feeling for melody and verse, Beth has honed these talents over a lifetime. When such skill comes together with a full measure of life experience, sensitivity and faith, the result is the music of Beth Williams.
A remarkable singer, songwriter, musician, performer, session singer and record-company entrepreneur. Williams is also an outstanding entertainer and performer known for having mastered the art of audience interaction. Whether singing songs she’s written or performing in one of her Specialty Shows, Williams is passionate about using her musical giftings to encourage, touch and inspire others. An ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC NOMINEE for Best New Female Vocalist of the Year, Cashbox’s “Best Independent Female Vocalist” and Independent News’ “Best Female Performer”, her songs have charted in Billboard and Cashbox magazine as well as numerous other charts and have received airplay in the U.S. as well as overseas.
“I love and appreciate each time I’m given the opportunity to perform & share songs I’ve written..“
Growing up in a military family, Beth spent her childhood moving around the U.S. and the world. This gave her a broad perspective, which later served her well as an artist. The impermanence of that lifestyle also challenged her as a person from an early age and helped shape both her character and her music. She took up the guitar at age 14 and soon after won a school talent contest performing an original song, an event which set her course in life. After graduating high school, Beth immediately embarked on the arduous journey of a professional singer/songwriter. It was a path characterized by all the trials and tribulations, all the sacrifices and disappointment inherent to that profession. Yet she persevered and succeeded. In time, Beth turned her attention to home and family. But a true artist can never give up what is in their blood.
Williams continues to perform her original music at House Concerts, Festivals or other Live Music Venues. She is also the lead singer and band leader for a number of “Specialty Shows” at private parties and corporate events. There are two new CD’s planned for release on her own Willow Creek Records in 2014.
“I think of Beth Williams Music as a Musical Rainbow or a One Stop Music Shop” Williams says. “with me wearing all the hats…singer, songwriter, session and demo singer, voice and guitar teacher, producer, engineer, backup vocalist, videographer, rhythm player and whatever else needs to be done! Plus, after 40 years in and around the music business, I have much to offer the aspiring singer/performer in the way of direction. I can guide them from the success I’ve had, as well as direct them away from the many mistakes I’ve made.”
