Beth Williams Bio

A popular worship leader, singer and speaker at women's events, Beth Williams’ Music Mission is to help and encourage  others through Songs, Stories & Scriptures.  After celebrating her 30th year as a full time self-employed performer in the music industry, Beth made the decision in 2002 to quit the secular music business, step out in faith and use all of her musical abilities solely for the Lord’s planned purposes and glory. Since that time she has been serving in God's army, going to Church's, conferences and women's retreats where she shares old time hymns, praise and worship music, along with spiritual songs of recovery and hope.  Yielded to her call to sing full-time for His Kingdom, Beth combines a powerful testimony along with her own original songs, often referred to as "Message Music."

Beth accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 10, however, her life has had many ups and downs since then and taken many turns.  Because God's call is irrevocable, Williams has always found herself mercifully back in the presence of His saving grace.  A recovered alcoholic since 1989, she can speak firsthand of being rescued from the very gates of hell.

Having returned to her first love, Beth's passionate desire today is to be in an increasingly deeper walk with Jesus, glorifying Him and leading others closer to him through her music and testimony.  "God has always been a big part of my life & music.  After finally coming to the end of myself, and feeling called to be in a closer walk with the Lord, I made the decision to turn my musical abilities over to be used exclusively for His glory and to further His Kingdom."

Beth's musical achievements have been many including having 5 Recordings available on her own Willow Creek Records.   Her first album, "First Class", garnered her a nomination by the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC  for  "Best New Female Vocalist of the Year".  She was also voted  "Best Female Performer" by INDEPENDENT NEWS and "Best Independent Female Vocalist" by CASHBOX

She has had a #1 Hit in the INDEPENDENT CHARTS and her songs have been on numerous compilation CDs, including four songs on WESTWOOD MUSIC, and two songs on SWEDEN'S DUSTY RECORDS

Williams' song, "A Ladder I Can Climb" was released in the independent comedy film, "Jane White ", and her "Dogs" song was recorded by New York's renowned Burns Sisters.  "A Ladder I Can Climb" was also chosen to be on Southwest Texas University's "Travelin' Texas Vol. 3" compilation CD.

Along with her other long list of accomplishments,  Beth was chosen to sing lead vocals on " Big Rock Candy Mountain" for a WALT DISNEY CHILDREN'S ALBUM, and two of her songs are currently being used as the theme song for sites on the Internet.  Many of her songs continue to receive airplay on radio stations across the country as well as on internet radio.

Beth took a year off from singing to be a full time caregiver for her ailing father, John.  After his passing in October of 2007, Beth began easing back into her music ministry in Feb. of 2008.

From an attic converted to a loft in a 1937 farmhouse in Art, Texas, Beth plays her guitar and piano, continuing to write new songs of encouragement and hope.  She also runs her record company, Willow Creek Records, where plans are being made to release her next project, a praise and worship CD featuring songs written during time as her fathers caregiver.

Married to Laird Palmer, they are blessed to be raising their 3 yr. old granddaughter, Mozelle Elizabeth. They also have 3 dogs, 5 cats, 20 chickens, 1 rooster, horses and mules. You can contact Beth through her website at www.bethwilliamsmusic.com or Email office@bethwilliamsmusic.com
