I lost my precious little ( 5'1") mom to cancer on Nov. 2, 1993. Thinking of how much I missed her, I knew the first thing I 'd do when I saw her in Heaven would be to hug her.  Thus, "Hugging in Heaven" was written in early 1994.

Mom always wanted me to learn to Yodel , but my reaction was "NO WAY! How totally un-cool!!! "   However, playing at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, Texas for 7 years, tourists often came in expecting me to be able to yodel because I was in Texas.   After 3 Japanese businessmen refused to believe I couldn't yodel ( do I look like a cowgirl or what??),  and insisted all evening that I must "Yo- dal", I decided it was time to get on the yodel wagon!!

Off I went in search of the missing yodel.  Jill Jones in Wimberley, Texas was kind enough to teach me this art.  The Bible says "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.", so it occurred to me yodeling is yet another form of praising God. Adding a yodel to Hugging in Heaven was a given, whereupon, "Huggin in Heaven" was renamed  "Yodelin' in Heaven."

Then... I realized my mom would get to hear me yodel at last...when I get to Heaven.  Although, if truth be known, I believe she hears me as I yodel now.  I carry her, along with Jesus, in my heart.

Remember, do everything you do as unto the Lord, and it's a form of worship to the King!!

I'm here on earth for just a little while.  Psalm 119:19

words & music by Beth Williams- 1994

Yodelin' in Heaven

Oh what a day! What a day it will be when I see my mother again.

I know she'll be waiting right there for me when the Lord says "Beth, Come on it!"

There will be huggin' in heaven, huggin' in heaven, huggin' in heaven, I am sure.   Yes, there will be huggin' in heaven, huggin' in heaven, huggin' in heaven, I am sure.

Verse 2

Oh what a day when there's no fear of tomorrow, all tears & sorrow washed away.

They'll be no more sadness, only joy & gladness when the Lord takes us home one happy day.

There will be clapping in heaven, clapping in heaven, clapping  in heaven, I am sure.  There will be clapping in heaven, clapping in heaven, clapping  in heaven, I am sure.

Verse 3

Oh what a day! What a day it will be when I see my dear Saviors face.

I know He'll be waiting right there for me ..I have been saved by His Amazing Grace.

We will be happy in heaven, happy in heaven, happy in heaven, I am sure.  We will be happy in heaven, happy in heaven, happy in heaven, I am sure.

Bridge

Behold in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye...We shall all be changed!!     So Let everything that has breath praise His name... with rejoicing praise His Holy Name

There will be yodelin' in heaven, yodelin' in heaven, yodelin' in heaven, I am sure.  There will be yodelin' in heaven, yodelin' in heaven, yodelin' in heaven, I am sure.

A Lo u , A Lay ee, I Love the Lord, Love the Lord, Love the Lord, A Lo u , A Lay ee, I Love the Lord, I'm Yodeling for my King

Then lots more Yodeling.....!!!
