Falling Leaves

Greetings friends!!  Well, I wrote up a Blog last month and accidently deleted before I posted it. So it's already November and here I am again!

October was a wondeful busy month and the autumn leaves were falling. Among other things, I went to sing at the VA Assisted Living in Rifle, Colorado which took me over the Grand Mesa.  Had to stop and take a couple of photos.  I'm pretty sure fall is my favorite time of the year with spring coming in 2nd place. Or maybe it's a tie between the two. What's yours?

How cool is this?  Robert from Florida ordered a hard copy of my YODEL Cd and Geraldine in Canada is placing an order for my MUSIC, MOVEMENT SINGALONG WITH BETH DVD.  It's really nice to be “found” and have someone interested in what you're doing and what you have to offer so thanks to Robert and Geraldine this week!

“Hi Beth, got the CD'S today, in great shape!! I am playing Yodel as we speak, all I can say is WOW!!! And thank You!!!    You have a great talent.”  Bob Webb

Going forward:  Still working on getting organized so I will have time to finish a number of new songs I've started.  Not quite sure what I'll do with them when they're done as I'm not interested in pursuing getting a song in the charts by hiring a team: Publicists, Record Promoters, Booking Agent to help me get gigs.  Been there done that and it's just not in me anymore.  Maybe that will change but for now that's not a path I plan to choose.

I hope to release songs as singles in 2025 and roll them into an album eventually. Let them do their own thing in the universe. Will have them on my You Tube Channel and BandCamp for sure!!   It feels like a new chapter in life so I'm taking it one day at a time.

My dear friend Brenda Suiter Broadbooks was invited to sing at CSLGJ and invited me to tag along and do special music.  We had a ball!  Brenda is an incredible speaker and it's always a blessing to have her adding harmonies.  Here are 2 of my original songs we shared with the group:

Hope you enjoy the songs &  subscribe to my You Tube Channel!!

The election came and went. It didn't turn out as I had hoped and like many others I was not only terribly disappointed but also of the belief our country as we have known it will soon be gone. However, I've  made up my mind to be accepting of what is and not fight what I can't change. The goal is to continue trying to live my best life and let those who love to spread hate, fear and cause harm do what they're going to do. We have no control in stopping them other than prayer and positive affirmations of goodness in this world.  Time will tell if my vote was right or wrong and until then, again like many others, I'll keep leaning into the light trying to do the next right thing and try to be a blessing will my time and music.

It's finally turning cold. Winter is coming indeed!  Glad I have these super warm fingerless gloves Granddaughter Mozelle crocheted for me. And purple is my favorite color! Also, we purchased a self propelling snow blower in preparation for upcoming days! We usually get quite a bit of snow up here in the mountains on the Western Slope of Colorado so it will be nice to have an easier way than digging with a shovel to move snow.  Well, we do have a 4 wheeler with a plow, but sometimes it doesn't work that great!!  All set for winter now.

And speaking of falling leaves….here's a song I just learned!

Saturday is still my teaching day!  I give online yodeling lessons to a beautiful 82 year old in Philadelphia who also takes Tap Dancing lessons. She's simply awesome and soooo fun! I have in person students come to the studio on Saturdays too. Life is grand and I'm blessed to be able to share the musical knowledge I have with others.  If you or anyone you know is interested in voice or yodeling lessons, please contact me: HERE

And here's a thought:

Giving the gift of Music Lessons is always a good thing and since I'm available to facilitate lessons remotely, you can give a Gift Certificate to that special someone no matter where they live!

I recently had BILL CLARK in the studio recording a one guitar - one vocal CD of his original songs.  He sent me a copy after it was printed and I must say, it sounds great!  No overdubs. No whistles and bells. Just Bill and his guitar singing and playing while I was recording at my small ProTools Hill Country Recording Studio.  He's almost sold out of the 100 copies of the CD he ordered and is already making plans to place a larger order. Congratulations to Bill and thanks for letting me part of your creative plan!

Click on the CD cover to go to his Facebook page and learn more about his Western songs and music!

Here's one more little tune recorded a few weeks ago.  Brenda asked if I would lead a small group sing-along so I pulled out a song I wrote in 2018. What I like about this song is you can change the lyrics and make up your own positive affirmations. Hope you enjoy.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by and as always, I'm wishing you well.  Please leave a comment if you've a mind to and you can always reach me by clicking on this Contact page.
