Okay then. I'm trying to figure out WHERE exactly time is going. Yikes!! One of the many reasons I stepped back from FB and Instagram was to have more time to get caught up and get things done. And yet here I am having a challenging time stopping long enough to write on this blog.
QUICK CATCH UP: I'm rendering this weeks Radio Show as I type. Have been producing and hosting the Beth Williams Indie Americana Songwriter Show for 7 1/2 years and, to be honest, I often wonder why. Have I told you the back story? It ties in with this photo of Nigel and Donna Carmichael taken this month up on the Grand Mesa here in Colorado, USA.
BACK STORY:

I was invited to be one of the headliners at the Martin Music Festival in New Zealand after Anne George found me singing on You Tube. While there I was interviewed by a man named Stu for ICRadio and once back in the states, Stu sent an email asking for a 10 minute demo of what I would sound like hosting a radio show. And yes, the rest is history, as they say!
Nigel bought most, if not all, of my CDs when I performed in NZ and we've been friends on FB since then. What an incredible friend and supporter he's been since 2017. He and his wife are on a 3 month vacation (Yes, 3 months!) traveling around the world and came all the way to Colorado to visit me. #honored #touched I am.
We had a wonderful time together and it was a blessing to be with them for the day.
BACK TO THE RADIO SHOW: I originally decided to start it as a way to help a couple of friends get their music heard. I'm no longer in touch with either of them and as far as I know, they aren't even writing or performing anymore.
Since I left Facebook/Instagram, I'm not tagging songwriters who are on the show, so I'm not sure who's even listening on the Mixcloud page where I archive the show.
AND YET!! The show continues to air on 70+ stations each week so someone must be listening and here I am rendering Show #328.
THIS WEEK: I'm headed to the VA Hospital in Rifle, Colorado to perform as Miz Lizzie. My dear friend Vicki will be meeting me there (I'm taking an extra cowboy hat for her) and we plan to hit the Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs after that. In the evening of course, because it's waayyyy too warm during the daytime!
YOU TUBE NEWS: I started watching Peaky Blinders on Netflix awhile back and fell in love with the song "Black Velvet Band" first published some time between 1796 and 1853. Here's my rendition fresh up on YT:
I'm starting to miss you all and being on Facebook but am determined to get caught up on some projects before I jump back on. Thanks for checking in with me here and leave a comment if you've a mind to.
Wishing you well, always with love xoxo Tater.

P.S. Thanks to Nigel and Donna for coming all this way to see me. Was a wonderful time and a new cherished memory!
